DO NOT CAST SALT CIRCLE IN THE DIRT. DO NOT SALT THE GROUND TO CLEANSE IT. DO NOT BURY SACHETS THAT INCLUDE SALT.
STOP SALTING THE GROUND.
YOU WILL MESS UP THE SOIL AND HURT THE PLANT LIFE. USE SOMETHING ELSE.
DONT FORGET ABOUT SLUGS AND SNAILS
Some alternatives:
Crushed eggshells
Pure water
Cast a circle with sticks, rocks, leaves or other things laying on the ground
Yes to the above!
String and simply energy also work for casting circles, as well!
Cleansing is easily done with charged waters, energy work, or sage and similar plants (by scattering or burning).
The only reason to salt the soil is if you have an area where you dont want anything to grow there for y e a r s.
However, to keep weeds from uprooting a patio or sidewalk, or keeping an area around the grill or fire pit clear, it’s a better alternative than commercial herbicides, and much longer lasting. Dish soap and salt water will nuke about anything.
If you have accidently salted your soil you will need to keep watering it until the salt is distributed though the ground such that the plants, animals and microbes in the area can tolerate it. This can take months, or years.
After the salt is diluted out you will have to deal with soil compaction and will need to turn the soil by hand, use an aerator or introduce salt tolerate plants (Google to see what’s appropriate for your area) to make the soil workable again.
